Windows 10 build 10049 features 'Bio Enrollment' but what could it be?

Windows Hello, for those that did not know, features biometric authentication which can provide instant access to your Windows 10 devices. Revealed two weeks ago, Windows Hello allows you to just show your face, or touch your finger, to new devices running Windows 10 and be immediately recognized.

With the recent release of Windows 10 build 10049 to Windows Insiders, a new app was seen but could not be opened. This app is called Bio Enrollment and has everyone guessing about what it could be. Well, it has to do with Windows Hello and it will likely work at a later date once Windows Hello is fully implemented.

Windows Hello is expected to provide “enterprise-grade” privacy and security. “And not only is Windows Hello more convenient than typing a password — it’s more secure!  Our system enables you to authenticate applications, enterprise content, and even certain online experiences without a password being stored on your device or in a network server at all,” Microsoft explains.

For now, ignore the “Bio Enrollment” app since you cant really do anything with it just yet. In the mean time, go test Project Spartan!
