With Project Spartan finally in the hands of real-world users through the Windows 10 Technical Preview for both PCs and phones, Microsoft is now looking to build on the browsers’ new wave of feedback and development.

Back in March, the Project Spartan team held a small, invitation-only workshop for developers of prevalent sites and frameworks. This intimate workshop was held at Microsoft’s Silicon Valley campus in Mountain View. As you can imagine, Microsoft gathered piles of priceless information regarding the direction and web development of the new browser, from meeting face to face with the developing community.

As the release date for Windows 10 looms near, the Project Spartan team would like another go at developers and their input. The Project Spartan team announced today that they will be hosting a Project Spartan Web Summit, May 5th and 6th, back at their Mountain View campus in California. Attendees will be part of a deeper dive into Project Spartan as the browser team looks to host two content-packed days of ‘deep technical’ sessions. The summit will also be home to some prodigious guest speakers involved in the Web development community. Some of the speakers include Web Architect of Think Brownstone Kimberly Blessing, Kyle Simpson of Getify Solutions and author Sara Soueidan.

For anyone interested, Microsoft sees this summit as an excellent chance to get in on the ground floor of web development for Project Spartan. Attendees will have the chance to meet the team building the JavaScript rendering engine, and managers of the Web tools for ModernIE, RemoteIE and IEDevChat.

Developers will also get the necessary info on how to utilize the new platform tools for Spartan like ECMAScript 6, WebAudio, WebGL, Cordova, and SVG elements. Finally, those who are attending will get a chance to test-drive the latest iteration of builds alongside the engineers directly involved in the development, as well have access to much of the Project Spartan planned roadmap.

If you’re unable to attend the summit, the Spartan team will also be live streaming the sessions on Channel 9. Registration for the event opens Tuesday, April 14th at 10:00am.
