Microsoft partners with Tencent to offer easy Windows 10 upgrade for Chinese users

Microsoft will apparently partner with Tencent in China to offer users with an easy way to upgrade to Windows 10 when it launches later this year. Spotted by the folks at WPDang, it seems someone jumped the gun a little early, revealing details about the partnership between Microsoft and Tencent. Microsoft is expected to announce the details about the partnership at WinHEC  which will kick off in Shenzhen starting tomorrow.

It appears users running Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8 will be able to upgrade to Windows 10 free of cost — as revealed before as well. Furthermore, with the Tencent Computer Manager will make sure the update process is seamless by providing real-time update guidance, fast downloads, drivers and more.

For those of you who don’t know, WinHEC will be a two-day event starting tomorrow in Shenzhen. WinHEC stands for Windows Hardware Engineering Community, and is for OEMs and others who are currently working on or interested in hardware for Windows technologies.
