If you’ve ever taken a video with your Lumia smartphone and wished you could do a quick trim to cut out the extraneous bits before and after, then you’re in luck. Microsoft has updated the Photos app in Windows 10 Mobile with just that sort of trimming functionality.
It’s easy enough to use. Just open the video you want to edit and hit the edit icon (the little pencil, for the uninitiated):

Select a video and hit the edit button.

Hit the “Trim” option

That’s all there is to it. It’s welcome functionality and works easily enough for the quick trim. With the upcoming Lumia 950 and 950 XL with outstanding 4K video capabilities, this kind of feature addition can’t come soon enough.
You likely already have the app installed on your Windows 10 Mobile device, but just in case you don’t here’s a quick install button.
